Matt and Michelle Deming founded Fireside Pizza & Catering in 2016 with a single wood-fired brick oven pizzeria on wheels. A year later they added a second unit, and spent those early seasons doing what they loved — showing up at wineries, breweries, festivals, and neighborhood events, perfecting their craft and learning how to serve a crowd without missing a beat.
Their first major milestone came when they catered a 250-guest wedding, serving wood-fired pizza and a full spread of sides. It was a hit — and the moment they knew catering was where they belonged.
In 2020, they put down roots by purchasing a church property in Boonsboro, MD, set on an acre of land where they now grow fresh produce used in many of their recipes. Today, Fireside's calendar is filled with the events that matter most to people — weddings, rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, corporate gatherings, and any other reason worth celebrating.
Michelle brings years of restaurant ownership to the table, with a sharp eye for presentation and recipes that keep guests coming back. Matt is a dedicated pizzaiolo whose passion for the wood-fired craft shows in every pie that comes out of the oven. Together, they're committed to one thing: an experience you won't forget.
